Michele Rosenthal

Michele Rosenthal is a self-taught artist who first picked up a paintbrush during the quiet chaos of the Covid era. Since then, making art has become not just a passion, but a kind of therapy—a way to slip into another galaxy where the outside world fades and she can get completely absorbed in the process.

As an “outsider artist,” Michele never followed traditional rules, and that freedom has shaped her work. Drawn to the push and pull between fantasy and realism, often weaving characters into her pieces that feel like they have their own stories to tell. Florals show up a lot too—loving the emotion and movement that flowers can bring to a canvas.

Michele works in mixed media and collage, using everything from acrylics and oils to pastels and watercolors. Every piece created is layered—visually and emotionally—and the idea that people might see something new each time they look.
